These couple of months have been nothing but hectic, but I’m back!
I’m so sorry I neglected by blog for so long, here’s what I’ve been learning:
I’m sorry I haven’t been blogging.
I’ve my hands full with nail practice and work!
But, I’m back with one short post!
Fidelia came to do a simple set of pastel purple nails with me. She told me she wanted something with lace, doesn’t show when it grows out and has pointed-edges, 5-petal flowers with it.
I must be honest, I haven’t done embossed flowers for a while. I felt so sorry at the same time because I didn’t have much time to do any mock-up for her, but Fidelia is very nice, very easy to work with and very accommodating, I love her!
Here’s what I came up with after discussion with her: modern french tips in pastel purple, her nails are teeny, so I chose to draw the lace on the french tips instead of above it and topped only the thumbs with the embossed flowers as the rest were really small!!!
Look how they turned out! *I’m sorry the pictures aren’t clear enough, I tried my best to capture the lace. 😦
Xiaoxi brought a friend along for her second session and this is how different they were!
Her friend’s Mani(sorry i didn’t catch your name):
Her friend didn’t like Xiaoxi’s blue base and Xiaoxi didn’t like the typical girly designs her friend picked.
But they had each others company for this girly session~
Winnie has always been one of my favorite clients of all times!
She arrives on time, is always polite, always book her appointments beforehand and is quick to decide on her nail art designs!
She has gorgeous long nail beds too!
Every session has been an enjoyable and hilarious one for me, I love chit-chatting with her, she is SOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE and funny!
This time she came for a little Lolita checks! She told me she wanted checks, lace and ribbons!
We decided on a purple base, Artistic Color Gloss Fly, instead of red and black of the initial picture she sent me for inspiration as she felt that the red and black combination is too “chrismassy!”
Here’s the awesome set which I love so much!!!
(This set took a long time because I was struggling to draw accurate lines for the checks with my striping brushes-they got me nowhere. I was so so glad that I reverted to my original tiny brush which allowed me to work at least 50% more of the initial speed when I was using the hateful striping brushes-they just couldn’t get my lines straight! Weird!)
Thank you Winnie, for all the awesome sessions and for being so patient with me!
Can’t wait till our next session in three week’s time! ❤
Mary challenged me to a set of “beary” nails!
This was what came out of it:
The characters are from Suzy’s Zoo(nail stickers) and also my favorite bear Rilakkuma!
The rilakkuma 3D art design credits to Asis Weng.
Yes that’s right, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you!
That’s a bear sleeping on its side!
Mary was brave enough to wear it on her nails (usual acrylic art are all done flat on the nails for easier recognition, but I tried one out that’s on its side and Mary was game enough to wear it because she thinks its really unique!)
I absolutely love this set!
Mary asked for Suzy’s zoo bear (she also gave me a link to nailist Momo’s art) and I was so caught up with the love of acrylic nail art I tried my hand with quite a few characters!
Rilakkuma, korilakkuma, pony and carebear and the doggies credits to amazing nailist Momo!
The rest I tried on my own from figurines that surface from my google search!
Hope you like them!
Germaine came for a new set of nails after a month!
She hated having to let her galaxy nails go but she wanted Ying’s gradient nails so badly, she had to!
This is my version of gradient nails that Germain showed me, I think it looks a little Gothic and mysterious, don’t you?
One of my favorite clients Claudia came back from her trip overseas and had all her nails intact as usual(these nails are slightly over a month old!).
They look a little brownish because her bag stained her nails! =(
I quickly worked to remove the old set and put on this new set that Claudia picked out herself, the stripes, polka dots and the heart with the word “love” written in it!
She picked white and mint from AngelPro Gelly Range!
Claudia told me the stripes reminds her of candies, hence the title, Mint Candy Love!
I love the mint! Don’t you?
