Usually I can’t stand wearing the same art for so long, and of course, the growth of the natural nails from underneath my gel polish. But for the same of the experiment, i wore my previous set for 29 days! Boy was I glad to have them removed!
Initially I wanted to do do a set with my new doggy stickers, but I do dread doing my own nails, and I knew I couldn’t do anything simple with those stickers, so I chose to do a simple set knstead(which in the end still took alot of time and effort (-_-“)).
Here it is!
Design taken from Girl’s pic one of the contributors.
I switched the metal bow from the middle finger to my ring finger as I knew that that’ll help prolong the wear of my dangling charm.
One mistake I made though, my half-moon was way too high up, the original design was much nicer:
I can’t seem to be too happy about my manicures/pedicures this month. Bahhh!
Angel came for her first visit at Felicious Nails Hougang.
This time she picked something simple, half-moon red nails with glitter gradient.
It screams sexy doesn’t it?
A set apt for the Chinese New Year, or anytime you feel sexy!
I always love her slender long fingers!
I was so glad to hear from my awesome customer Winnie when she messaged me for her new appointment!
She did tell me after her manicure when she last visited, that she wanted to make an appointment for her next visit, but was worried that there might be changes in her schedule, so I told her to let me know when the date’s nearer.
And she did! (Jumps up and down in the air!)
I LOVE AWESOME CUSTOMERS LIKE HER!!!!
Those who say they would return, and kept their word. I seriously don’t understand people who say things and don’t keep it, what is the point of saying those things then???
Anyway, Winnie is a super cute and nice customer who shares many common views as I do. We both loveeeeeeeeee dogs, and we love nails and we enjoyed the manicure session so much that time flies!(At least for me, hee.)
And she’s so nice, you wouldn’t believe it!
I posted on Felicious Nails Facebook page about the free classic manicures I’d provide for practice(with the condition that models bring their own OPI’s), AND THIS ANGEL GAVE ME THREE BOTTLES OF POLISHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FOR FREEEEEEEE, IN THE EXACT COLORS I MENTIONED(ok almost all exact, but the nude was one of the few approved in school, I think).
She didn’t even ask me for a discount when she gave me those polish.
Just told me she didn’t need them anymore as she was coming to me!
She is so so sweet I could hugggggggg her! Lol!!!
Okay, enough of my crazy excitement/praising! This lady is definitely on my priority list(VIP list if she continuously returns!)
Winnie only likes dark colors, so we took a little time to discuss and come up with this set of nails.
This set has a little bit of marbling, and a little bit of roses. Yellow ones this time!
I added some glitter onto the half-moons to glam up the look!
You can tell how much I like her by the number of pictures I took, of her nails!
You see, people with gorgeous, slender fingers can sport the square nails very well!!!
I for one, has short stubby fingers, so I’d need rounded tips to lengthen the overall look of my fingers. I love this set of nails! Don’t you?
It isn’t the typical sweet set you see, but I think this set has something special to it.
A little elegance, and a little glam, which reminds me of an evening dinner event.
Jessy’s friend came along with her to to try out nail art on Gelish for the first time. Here’s what Jessy found online:
We didn’t have the chunky chains and her nail bed was too small for the studded Chanel logo. We were running out of time as her previous set of Gelish done elsewhere took really long to soak off. The end result is a simplified adaptation of the design requested:
I personally LOVED the inspiration and adapted set, I do so love houndstooth so much but I doubt my left hand can manage drawing that on my right. So I’ll file this design somewhere in my list of “to-do manicures”.
I tried using Black Shadow to draw today, not as good as how I’d have liked it, promise I’ll do it in acrylic paint next time for a sharper, cleaner look. Gave her a discount because of that!
This set spells modern, chic, powerful. At least to me, somehow, because of the chains.
Two more sets of black and white nail art coming up soon! So keep checking back yeah?!
Angel is an amazing customer who plans her latest manicure about 2-3 weeks before her appointment, she would come ready to do her nails because she knew what she wanted.
This time, she chose two shimmer shades for her abstract roses manicure, a dark elegant purple and this lighter color Glam.
She didn’t want the conventional roses I did with leaves so we opted for swirled roses, inspired by the Japanese stickers Ying brought back.
The base is our hot favorite Gelish Ambience, with a gold glitter-lined half-moon, so that the manicure lasts longer.
Here it is!
How do you like it?
Pink has always been the hot favorite of all our clients, but Gelish’s hot trio, the limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness set with gorgeous micro-shimmer, fades after 10 days or so.
When I got my Akzentz Luxio, all my manicurist friends wanted to know if they’ll fade, so I decided to try on three pinks from Akzentz, closest to the Gelish BCA set.
I’ve snipped my nails really short as they broke really near the nail bed when I had to handwash three huge load of clothings(no washing machine at home for me 😦 ) and then came up with this design using the stickers Ying brought back from Japan.
Here they are, pink overload:
This one is closest to the actual color:
I’ll update in two weeks(if the stickers holdup) to review about how well the color lasts. 🙂 Stay tuned!
Ying from Nail Art Express has a gorgeous set with custom Gelish mix in an eggshell mix here. The rose stickers are extremely gorgeous. Brena wanted a similar set but had trouble deciding on what she wants, in the end she customed this set.
We couldn’t stop gashing over how pretty and realistic the roses are.
*First two pictures credited to Brena. 🙂
Marilyn’s fancy rainbow leopard prints, paired with China Glaze “Gold Digger” on a few fingers so that she can get a little of the Christmas season into her mani.
Leopard prints are lined with gold glitter polish and the gold glitter fingers are lined with pretty holographic glitter bits. See if you can spot them?
